I totally related to her and think she accurately represented many women during this era. I laughed out loud at some of her one-liners. It was a unique and engaging way to connect with the characters, particularly Juliet who is sweet-natured and witty, with a hint of don’t-fuck-with-me. This book is written fully in epistolary format which sounds like it shouldn’t work but it absolutely does. I finally read this book after it had gathered dust on my shelves for YEARS and loved everything about the story, the setting, the characters, and the letters □Īhhh the letters – the reason we’re here.
